(IndianExpress) Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna has advised private gun owners to set aside time everyday and use their weapons to prevent crimes against women in the capital.

In a speech on National Voter’s Day, Khanna suggested that gun license holders do their bit. “I receive several requests for gun licenses every week and I have advised them to put this to some good use. Such gun owners with licenses must roam their neighborhoods or lonely spots like bus stands each night and if they spot someone harassing a woman, they should use their weapon to stop the crime and take the perpetrators to the police,” he said.
