Piers: Learn a lesson from Dunkirk

Re: “CNN’s Piers Morgan to be taken off air?”

Piers Morgan seems to have forgotten the humiliation the British suffered at Dunkirk.

While many soldiers escaped across the channel, most did not carry their weapons. Afterward, a call was made to the general population to donate their weapons because they feared Hitler would invade shortly after the defeat. Of course, this was before the U.S. entered the war and our stance was neutrality. If it weren’t for the civilian volunteers that floated their boats across the channel and the population that gladly gave up their weapons for the “cause,” Britain may have fallen.
