Lenin pointed out: “The task of the Bolsheviks is to overthrow the Imperialist Government. But this government rests upon the support of the Social Revolutionaries and Mensheviks, who in turn are supported by the trustfulness of the masses of the people. We are in the minority. In these circumstances there can be no talk of violence on our side.” The essence of Lenin’s speeches during this period was “They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and for reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns then it will be through the bullet.” And it was.

There have always been cynical truisms surrounding politicians and, to some extent, even journalists – but there is nothing in the history of our nation that matches the wholesale subterfuge currently being employed against the American people by our government and the press.
Some of the signs of what the Obama administration is preparing for have been easily explained away by the White House and its surrogates. Executive orders and policies similar to those of previous administrations have been relatively simple to count as standard operating procedure. Cumulatively, however, given the character of this administration, they spell foreboding.
Other aspects have been so sinister as to be picked up and reported only by those whom even mainstream conservatives (whatever those are these days) deem to be fringe elements. This has resulted in the marginalizing of some information that the public might do well to have.
Consider, for example, the reports of the Department of Homeland Security having purchased a couple billion rounds of ammunition last year, some being of rather frightening configurations, and redacting information in the public record about those purchases. There is now almost as much information about those reports having been disinformation as the reports themselves, but it does give pause when considered in light of other evidence, some of it verified and some that doesn’t yet rise above rumor.
Commentators and journalists on the left and the right, as well as several civil-rights groups, took issue with President Obama having authorized the CIA to kill certain individuals due to their involvement in terrorist activities. On a list of these was Anwar al-Awlaki, an American of Yemeni descent, who was subsequently killed by a drone attack in Yemen in September 2011.
The unprecedented killing of an American citizen sans due process gave rise to lawmakers inquiring into Department of Justice policies and procedures in this area. On March 7, 2012, Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ga., asked FBI Director Robert Mueller if the criteria for the targeted killing of Americans also applied to Americans inside the United States. Mueller responded that he wasn’t sure, and would have to “go back and check” with the DOJ to make that determination.
Do I have to say we have a problem when a sitting FBI director doesn’t know whether or not our government can order hits on American citizens on our soil?
It has also become apparent that this president can say virtually anything to the American people, no matter how absurd, and he will not be held accountable by the press. This week, in a gratuitously furtive attempt to reassure American gun owners that he respects their rights, Obama claimed that he goes shooting “all the time.”
It will be said I can’t call this a lie because I can’t prove that Obama hasn’t gone skeet shooting every night for the past five years (apparently under the cover of darkness, with not a camera to be found) – but let’s be sensible here. Assuming the president even knows how to fire a gun, what does this say about his contention that Americans should own guns at all? Are firearms then only for the enjoyment of elites such as he?
The little-known machinations of this administration encompassing everything from clandestine international economic maneuvers to ongoing and augmented assaults on the Constitution have been covered in great detail in this space over the last few weeks. Much of this, as well as what is presented here, points to the administration preparing for social upheaval on a grand scale.
For more than four years, I’ve discussed the possibility that in order to cement the power of the radical left in America, Obama might resort to catalyzing events so dizzyingly horrifying that, as with Rome and Caesar in 48 B.C., Americans would actually welcome the “stabilizing influence” of a dictator – particularly one they already knew, and whom many trusted. Behind all of this lies the Obama administration’s dedicated adherence to Marxist philosophy and tactics, and those of Saul Alinsky in particular. Its ties to Alinsky and old-school Chicago communists of the last century is a matter of public record.
Which brings us back to the bullet. In the context of Lenin’s reference, America’s enemies within already have the bullets, but not license to use them as they would like. This they hope to gain by – among other things – marginalizing their detractors, factionalizing Americans, demonizing proponents of the Second Amendment and, finally, revisiting the tried-and-true Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis to bring about their end game.
