A river once ran through it!

(London Daily Mail) Scientists have discovered that a wide, gentle river once flowed across the frozen wastes of Antarctica.

Before the continent was hidden under two-mile thick ice, the land was relatively flat, according to a new study.

The 3-D map of Antarctica today shows how it looked when the earth was warmer with deep valleys and mountains carved by glaciers.
