(WPTV) — A Port St. Lucie police officer was fired after an internal affairs investigation determined he had sex while on duty in October with a woman he met during a burglary call, according to recently released records and a police spokesman.
Officer Charles Greene III was fired March 8 after the investigation showed he had a sexual encounter about a day after Greene went to the woman’s home in southeast Port St. Lucie for a burglary call, according to records and Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman.
Police began investigating after the woman’s husband — an inmate at the St. Lucie County Jail — reported to a St. Lucie County sheriff’s lieutenant that his wife had sex with Greene while Greene was on duty.
