I, too, liked the way Paul did the filibuster ["Rally round Rand Paul"]. However, in the end he is just the same go-along-get-along politician. Did he not vote FOR Hagel? Did he vote for or against Brennan?
He says he believes that since Obama is president (I don't believe that myself) he should get whoever he wants for Cabinet posts. That is baloney. There were plenty of reasons not to vote for either of those people. Yet in the end he caves just like almost every Republican up there.

We conservatives are so desperate for anyone that shows even a tiny bit of backbone that we will heap praise on those who do just the minimal things. Don't forget that Rand probably is not any different than his dad on social issues and is OK whatever as long as a state does it. Me? Ben Carson has more guts/brains/common sense than any politician that I know of today.
[Editor's note: Sen. Paul voted No on the confirmation of John Brennan.]
