(New York Post) They’ve left loaded guns near children, sped across train tracks with the gates down and texted while driving. Now they’re no longer school bus drivers.

More than 1,300 yellow-bus drivers and 500 matrons have been suspended from work for misbehavior by the Department of Education over the past five years — among the fewer than 11,000 that work on yellow buses each year.

And records show those numbers are growing.
