(POLITICO) The daughter of former President Ronald Reagan says she thinks that her father would not “stand in the way” of gay marriage.
“He was a very tolerant person,” Patti Davis, the 60-year-old youngest daughter of the former president, said on a YouTube show on Wednesday about gay rights. “He did not have prejudices against gay people.”

Davis suggested her father’s conservative views — support for the stability of the traditional family and a desire to remove government for people’s lives — and friendships with gay people dating back to his years in Hollywood would lead him to back gay marriage
