(LONDON DAILY MAIL) The truly special bond between heroic Dick Hoyt and his courageous son Rick Hoyt, 51, will be honored this month as they prepare to begin their 31st Boston Marathon together.
For on April 8th near the starting point of the world's premier marathon, a life-sized statue of Dick, 72, who has pushed his son in a wheelchair during almost 1,100 endurance events will be unveiled.
To date the inspirational pair have finished 1,091 events, including 252 triathlons, 70 marathons, 94 half marathons and 155 five-kilometer races and maintain their proud record of never having finished last.
