Hello, Chelsea Schilling. I was reading your article about the death threats Erik Rush is getting from Muslims. I hope he can bear it for at least two weeks, and then it will die down.
I had a similar experience when I spoke against a mosque being built near my neighborhood before the city council. It didn't matter that my reasons were as bland as traffic, light pollution and that they would have to move the Fourth of July celebrations. I got shouted at and threatened by these so-called "moderate and peace-loving Muslims." They drove by my house honking their car horns and shouting. They didn't realize that my neighbors didn't appreciate this noise at all.
We banded together, walked the streets with shotguns strapped to our backs – we can do that legally in Texas. A couple of the Muslims drove by and saw what we were carrying. They had second thoughts and it all stopped; they cringe in the face of opposition. They can't handle it when we fight back. The Dallas Morning News ignored the whole incident as well as all of the media because it was about the Muslims being naughty. Go figure.
