(NEWSOK) — Hobby Lobby President Steve Green has received the National Bible Association's John M. Templeton Biblical Values Award, which is given to a business leader who exemplifies biblical values in the marketplace.
Green was recognized at the association's annual awards luncheon at the Union League Club in New York. As part of the award, the group donated $25,000 to the nonprofit Museum of the Bible, which is being planned for Washington, D.C.
“Biblical values are at the core of Hobby Lobby's business — from closing stores on Sundays to defending religious liberty. The bar has been set high for Biblical values in the workplace,” National Bible Association President Richard Glickstein said in a news release.
