What is, and is not, Mexico's ["Rush: Obama sending secret signals to Mexicans"]. The whining has begun anew.
We heard about this back in the 90s, I believe. Exactly when is not the point; what is the point is what we did take from Mexico was done fair and square. A portion of New Mexico and Arizona was bought from Mexico back in the mid 1800s. This was the Gadsden purchase. We paid for it in gold. If Mexico wants it back, then they should repay what it cost us, plus improvements, in gold.
As for California and the rest of the Southwest, that came by treaty, or conquest. Conquest because Mexico attacked America, due to the fact that Texas wanted to become a state. We, the United States, fought Mexico and won. If Mexico wants that land back, then let them fight us for it. Let all the young Mexican hotheads rise up, arm themselves to retake what they believe is theirs, because they wish to go back on the word of their government, even if it is an old agreement, and go to war with America.

This time, provided America has the guts to fight, we'll make Mexico a protectorate, at the very least, but with no Social Security benefits. Let's see how they like being defeated, again, and being under our government control, with zero voting rights. Maybe they'll decide that it is not worth the loss of life on their side.
