(NBC News) A gunman opened fire on the campus of Santa Monica College near Los Angeles on Friday near where President Barack Obama was scheduled to attend a fundraising event, police told NBC News. At least three people were injured, including the gunman, who was in custody.
Dozens of campus and Santa Monica officers were on the scene of what they said was an ongoing situation. There was no immediate information on the condition of the people who had been shot.
