Dear Mr. Farah,
First, let me commend you on your common-sense, cutting-edge wisdom in your column. It is refreshing to read opinions that are spot-on!
Secondly, I wonder why no one has held Trayvon Martin’s parents responsible for his shooting death. The child was 17, had been in trouble before, was currently suspended from school; a responsible parent would have been supervising this child and making sure he was not in the wrong place at the wrong time. Had he been my child, he would have been grounded with no access to a cell phone or Internet until he had cleared up his problems at school.
Had such a thing happened to a 17-year-old of mine, I would have blamed myself.
