(DAILYMAIL) — Young Jeopardy! contestant Thomas Hurley III has learned the hard way the importance of proper spelling after he correctly named the emancipation proclamation as the document from 1863, which Abraham Lincoln called 'a fit and necessary war measure but misspelled 'emancipation', writing instead 'emanciptation.'
Hurley's minor misspelling was ruled a wrong answer, and cost the boy $3,000.

Now, Hurley is speaking out, saying that the finds the ruling 'unfair' and that he feels so cheated he will never watch the long-running game-show again.
