(Politico) Reince Priebus indirectly slammed Mitt Romney's stance on immigration reform, calling the use of the term self-deportation "horrific," and said those comments "hurt" the party, according to a report.
Romney often used "self-deportation" during the 2012 campaign to explain how his immigration policies would lead to illegal immigrants leaving the country on their own.
"Using the word 'self-deportation' — it's a horrific comment to make," Priebus told reporters at the Republican National Committee summer meeting in Boston on Thursday, according to a Business Insider report out Friday. "I don't think it has anything to do with our party. When someone makes those comments, obviously, it hurts us."
