(USA TODAY) Mediaite.com is reporting that MSNBC has signed30 Rock star and outspoken liberal Alec Baldwin to join its Friday night lineup. However, the network is staying mum for the moment, and Baldwin's spokesman declined comment on the report.
The network is said to be eyeing the actor for its 10 p.m. slot, which is filled by a prison documentary on Lawrence Donnell's night off from hosting The Last Word.
The move makes sense, given Baldwin is based in New York and has a long history with NBC. He isn't even a stranger to MSNBC or the 10 p.m. time slot -- he has been known to do teasers for O'Donnell at the top of the show.
