(London Telegraph) Yahoo! has redesigned its logo for the first time in 18 years as part of efforts to turn around the flagging dotcom brand.
Some 30 ideas were trialled and abandoned, but Yahoo! finally has a new logo after a process chief executive described as "not something we could do lightly",
It uses the same purple colour scheme as the old one, but the lettering is a bit thinner and lacks serifs.

Ms Mayer said she spent a whole weekend "geeking out" over the design before it was unveiled yesterday.
