(KUTV) — The Timpview T-Birds clinched the title of the 4A High School Championship game on Friday, but that win may have come with a price.
The team's star quarterback was able to take his team down the field for the winning score, but his comments after the game have started quite a controversy.

Britain Covey told the media that he had a concussion and seemed at times disoriented during the interview. "I don't even remember who scored on that last drive. I think it was me, but....uh...so, I took some big hits, but it was all worth it. Unless I have permanent brain damage, which I'm really praying not...not to have," said Covey.
It's unclear whether coaches or medical personnel knew Covey was injured or had been hit, but he was never taken out of play and examined.
