‘Racist’ video fuels black-mob ‘stereotype’

Black mob violence and black on white crime is just an every day fact of life in Stamford, Conn. Locals are pretty much used to it. And besides, say some residents, what about Sandy Hook, where last year a white person gunned down 26 grade school students and faculty 45 miles away?

Vicor Eng had nothing to do with Sandy Hook. But he was a victim of black mob violence when he was walking through downtown Stamford last week on his lunch break. A group of black people “came up behind him, punched him in the face, then picked him up and slammed him to the ground,” said the local ABC affiliate. The attack left the 64-year-old high school administrator with a broken neck, fractured spine, broken hand, and cuts on his head and leg that required stitches.

Eng walked out of the hospital over the weekend following successful surgery.

Police say the attack was “random,” but similar to those in the Knockout Game.

These “random” attacks happen predictably in Stamford. In December, “a group of black teenagers wearing Stamford Academy sweatshirts attacked a lone white teenager on Atlantic Street in Stamford,” reported the Stamford Daily Voice.

An off-duty cop stopped the assault and arrested one member of the group. The principal of Stamford Academy apologized and promised full cooperation in bringing the alleged assailants to justice.

The one person arrested and three other suspected in the attack on Victor Eng are also students at Stamford Academy. School officials apologized to Eng and his family as well.

Also in December a few days later, a 54-year-old man was waiting for a bus downtown when he was beaten by a group of black people.

“While he was down, the three began kicking the man before fleeing,” said the Stamford Advocate.

The Advocate said this assault was not an example of the Knockout Game because the attackers also kicked him and no one was filming it.

A lot of readers did not like that: “This It’s-Not-Really-Knockout rationale by (reporter John) Nickerson is bordering on comical, it’s so ridiculous,” said a commenter.

Just a few weeks before that, in November, an 85-year-woman at the Stamford Mall was “punched in the face. She fell face-first onto the concrete and suffered a broken nose as well as some broken teeth,” said the Online Hour in Stamford.

Her family said it was the Knockout Game.

“I’m going to come right out and say what hasn’t been said,” said one reader. “Just about every case where this has happened, the assailants have been black. It’s racial profiling, but unfortunately facts are facts and it’s black kids doing this.”

Last summer, Fox News Latino reported that Hispanic day laborers in Stamford have been the victims of at least four attacks within a month. One suspect, a 12-year-old boy, was arrested. Everyone suspected in the attacks is black.

Hispanics in Stamford say they are terrorized and afraid to go out at night – many when they leave their jobs – because of the violence.

Frequent episodes of black mob violence directed at Hispanic day laborers have been reported in more than a dozen cities around the country. In New Orleans, the day laborers are referred to as ATMs because they carry so much cash.

The Grio, a black website run by NBC News, said the black mob violence is a result of “tensions” between blacks and Hispanics.

If that is so, it sprang up again in Trenton, N.J., over the weekend: A group of black people attacked a Guatemalan immigrant who had been in the country for less than a month. He died.

Cambridge, Mass., is also the site of regular and frequent racial violence. This weekend it happened again. Police are looking for a black man who allegedly attacked three people. Two of the attacks are on video.

“They were stunned, confused, angry,” said Alex Farrell of the victims in an interview with the local ABC affiliate. Farrell is the store worker who called police after witnessing the second attack. “It’s hard to really find an explanation for things like this because it was unprovoked.”

One of the readers objected to releasing the video tape: “It is racist to show this video. It has not been adjudicated. To show a black man behaving in this manner just feeds the stereotype that black men are violent.”

The assailant was last seen walking in the direction of Harvard Yard.
