TV news helicopter crashes near Space Needle

Wreckage hits street, 2 killed, several cars left burning

SEATTLE (KHOU) – A television news helicopter has crashed near the Seattle Space Needle, KHOU's sister station KING 5 reports.

The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. Central time.

The Seattle Fire Department reports two people died at the scene.
