Jeb Bush says he hasn’t made up his mind on running for president. Wouldn’t bet on it. Bush knows if he runs he’s got a great chance, and here’s why: One, there will be no viable third party despite so much sentiment for one. Two, Bush’s relentless advocacy for Hispanic immigration will endear him to the ballooning number of Hispanics already here and the cheap-labor lobby who can never get enough. Three, the cheap-labor lobby has enough clout to give Bush the nomination and deny it to Paul, Rubio, et al.
The one thing that may work against Bush is voter apathy. Millions may surely feel there is not enough difference in candidates to justify voting. And that sentiment could work for Hillary, the likely Democratic candidate. That scenario is the only one presently unknown. At least as I see it.
