(THE TENNESSEAN) Oprah Winfrey will follow a judge’s recommendation and give her former stepmother 60 days to vacate the Williamson County estate owned by the TV star.
Barbara Winfrey, 66, who is divorced from Oprah Winfrey’s father, Vernon Winfrey, now has two months to leave the $1.4 million Laurelbrooke home the TV talk show legend bought for her father and stepmother after they married in 2001. The Laurelbrooke house and an adjacent vacant lot were kept in the name of the limited liability company Overground Railroad, started by Oprah Winfrey.
Since her divorce from Nashville barber Vernon Winfrey was finalized late last year, Oprah Winfrey’s attorneys have told Barbara Winfrey that she must leave the home.
