(DENVER POST) The 47-year-old man accused of killing his wife in their Denver home made his first appearance in court Wednesday morning. He waived his formal advisement and will remain in custody.
Richard Kirk looked forward with little expression and was appointed a public defender during an appearance that lasted about three minutes. Family members and other supporters declined to speak to reporters after the hearing.
Kirk was arrested Monday night after Denver police officers arrived at the home and found his wife, 44-year-old Kristine Kirk, dead inside.
