(Sacramento Bee) A 17-year-old Sacramento-area girl was booked into juvenile hall after she allegedly ran down a 10-year-old boy who reportedly threw a water bottle at her vehicle.
California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Chad Hertzell said the incident occurred about 2 p.m. Sunday on Yellowstone Lane in the Arden Arcade area. He said a 10-year-old boy on a bicycle reportedly threw a water bottle at the Mercedes SUV she was driving.
The girl made a U-turn and drove after the boy, chasing him into the front yard of a residence. Hertzell said she drove over the boy, pinning him underneath the engine compartment between two tires.
