I sincerely appreciate your pointing out the ungodly decisions by the PCUSA ["Why I will never be a Presbyterian, again"]. However, please let folks know there is also a Reformed Presbyterian Church that broke away specifically because of these types of issues.
My wife works at a Reformed Presbyterian Church, and we have been very impressed at the Bible-based, theologically sound foundation of this group. The tragedy is that the Reformed denomination is beset by challenges because of the name association with the mainstream Presbyterian Church. Additionally, if a specific congregation were to decide to break away, they would generally forfeit land, buildings and other holdings. There is a very large, well-established Presbyterian Church in a neighboring community that has wanted to break away, but the cost to do so is prohibitive.
Please pray for those congregations who have the courage to break away, and pray for those who have not yet done so to find the courage and blessing to do so. Ultimately, we must fight against the darkness that is creeping into the church.
