That's it! Obama's gone 'crazy'

Micheal Savage

"I'm convinced he has gone crazy."

That was Dr. Savage's reaction to Obama's request for $1.4 billion in "emergency funding" so that illegal immigrant children can be temporarily housed on Air Force bases.

"How does this affect our military readiness?" asked Savage, adding, "Some of these 'children' are 18 years old. They're old enough to get tattoos on their necks and join gangs" (Free audio).

Savage also connected the dots between the release of POW (and possible traitor) Bowe Bergdahl and the president's recent "surprise" visit to the troops in Afghanistan:

"He wanted to look like commander-in-chief in the middle of the V.A. scandal.

"Then we learned that same weekend that the CIA station chief in Kabul was 'mistakenly' outted by Obama's minions?

"That happened because if soldiers on the battlefield know exactly who Bergdahl was – a traitor who abandoned his post – and they aren't allowed to talk about it, what do you think the station chief in Kabul might know?" (Free audio)

Rush Limbaugh

Rush treated himself to a rare one-week vacation, so guest hosts stepped behind the golden EIB microphone. One of them, bestselling author Mark Steyn, commented on the White House's ill-advised release of five high-ranking Muslim terrorists in exchange for a single American soldier (and suspected deserter):

"This guy, Bergdahl, is like a lot of young men. He's got a big hole somewhere inside of him where his sense of identity once was. That's like a lot of young people today. If you've had to endure as many lousy, third-rate graduation speeches as I've had to sit through in the last three days, you'll be aware that there are a lot of young Americans who feel the same way."

Mark Levin

Levin served up a searing commentary on the Bergdahl exchange, accusing the Obama administration and the State Department of lying about the facts of the swap and undermining the troops (Free audio).

The next occupant of the Oval Office, Levin noted, whoever that may be, faces "a hell of a job" rebuilding what Obama has destroyed. He added that the current president is "a radical ideologue who's a complete incompetent" – one whose priorities are upside down:

"If we were talking about food stamps he'd move heaven and earth to fund the food-stamp program and make sure everybody got their food stamps. The veterans are not a top priority."

Laura Ingraham

Off the air, Ingraham appeared at a campaign rally for David Brat, who is challenging Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Virginia primary.

Referring to the Bergdahl affair, she told the crowd, "I was thinking about this prisoner swap. I kind of wish that President Obama would have thought this through a little bit more. Instead of sending five Taliban MVPs over there, he could have just traded one Eric Cantor."

While appearing on a Fox News panel, veteran journalist Bob Woodward mocked what he called Ingraham's "obsession" with the Benghazi massacre.

When she raised the issue, Woodward cracked, "[Benghazi] will never go away – at least with you."

"I actually don't think it's funny when an ambassador is murdered," Ingraham shot back, while the other panelists simply laughed (Free audio).

Glenn Beck

Since March 31, U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi has been behind bars in Mexico, after he accidentally drove across the border with three firearms in his vehicle.

This week, Glenn Beck spoke to Tahmooressi by phone. The Marine told Beck that after fellow prisoners threatened his life, he tried to escape. When that failed, he attempted suicide.

"This seems like an obvious case of one wrong turn," said Beck's co-host Stu Burguiere. "And how this takes 63 days to turn around, I don't understand" (Free audio).

As for the Bergdahl prisoner swap, Beck reacted to an NBC News report suggesting the five Taliban prisoners had been scheduled for release from Guantanamo Bay anyway, and that Obama's appearance in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl's parents was simply a photo-op.

Assuming the NBC News report is accurate, Beck said, "They have lied to you now. What they did was not a trade – not trying to do something heroic or 'sacred.' They kept saying over and over and over again, 'This was a 'sacred' responsibility.' How dare you invoke the word 'sacred' over and over and over again?" (Free audio)
