Your column sounds great to the uneducated public, but does nothing for truth or accuracy. As an ex-Air Force, airborne forward air controller in Vietnam, I do know a little something about the business. It would help if you bounced your columns off some people that know something about the subject.
How do you identify the bad guys? Once the terrorists enter a town or city and move into various buildings, who determines which buildings they are in and whether there are any civilians there? Without people on the ground to accurately identify the target and prevent civilian casualties, any airstrikes could easily produce civilian casualties and produce a public relations backlash for the U.S.

If the Iraqi army troops will not fight for their own country, why in the hell should we get involved again?
We sacrificed enough of our people for a corrupt society that is unwilling to treat their citizens on a fair and equal basis. Terrorists understand how to control a society with fear and brutality.
