(ORLANDO SENTINEL) A large sinkhole has forced authorities in Hernando County to close off an intersection in a residential area of Spring Hill.
While several homes were evacuated, most neighbors have been allowed to return to their homes, according to the local Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office received a call about a possible sinkhole on Saturday evening. Deputies measured the depression that swallowed up part of the roadway at approximately 25 yards by 25 yards wide and 30 feet deep.
