(Huntsville Times) What's it like along the Texas border watching people stream across the Rio Grande from Mexico without legal permission?
John McMillan can tell you, or at least what he saw on a visit in May. McMillan, the Alabama Commissioner for the Department of Agriculture and Industries, talked Friday about looking into the faces of children being processed by border patrol agents in McAllen, Texas.
"Seeing those kids – especially the teenagers – those blank faces," he said during a visit to AL.com. "Just totally blank faces. No interchange with even each other. They were just looking at us like zombies."

McMillan then repeated a conclusion that became apparent to him during his visit:
"We still just can't let them flood into the country," he said.
