(POLITICO) — NEW YORK — Todd Akin isn’t going anywhere.
After nearly two years of silence, the former Missouri lawmaker is promoting a new book, naming the names of Republicans he says betrayed him in condemning his comments on rape and abortion. He’s also accusing the media of colluding with Democrats to perpetuate the war-on-women line that cost him his race and Republicans the Senate in 2012.

So while, in an interview with POLITICO, Akin wouldn’t say whether he’d ever again run for office, his defiant message suggests he’s not planning to go away — even after his book promotion ends.
