(RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH) FORT LEE — A soldier turned a weapon on herself and fired a single shot that injured her this morning inside Fort Lee’s Combined Arms Support Command Headquarters, base officials said.
Fort Lee responded to a report of a soldier with a gun inside Building 5020 at about 9 a.m., the Army base said in a news release.
“Early reports indicate the soldier turned the weapon on herself and fired one shot, injuring herself. The soldier was transported (to) Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. Her condition is not known at this time,” Fort Lee said.
