I hope all is well, and I enjoyed your column about former President Nixon. I couldn't help but notice that the same Travis County that indicted former Rep. Tom DeLay is the same one that went after Rick Perry so soon after he sent the Texas National Guard to defend the border.

It's strange how the Stateman.com article featured on Yahoo News failed to mention the party affiliation of any of the district attorneys or other participants, save for the governor – or if any of the participants were the same as the ones in the case of Rep. DeLay.
It is also strange to me that a governor would be harassed for wanting a district attorney with a drunken-driving conviction to step down after the example of Janet Reno with her Dade County record.
Not that I am enamored with either major political party, but the rules of full disclosure and partisanship should be equally practiced.
