Game over, America

By Craige McMillan

When God decides to pull the plug on a nation, he doesn’t mess around.

Since 2007, America’s economy, its international prestige and the rule of law restraining government abuses have all crumbled. The entitlement mentality has taken hold among the working poor and much of the middle class. Top government officials engage in race-baiting to promote a bankrupt political agenda that serves no one but themselves.

And that’s just at the national level.

States are now legalizing the drug trade in return for anemic tax revenues, while they ignore the costs to clean up the mess. State legislatures are giving preferential treatment to illegal aliens, including driver’s licenses, welfare, health care and tuition waivers.

Want to know what’s next?

It’s called the exodus. The flight of the productive. You don’t have to be a math major to figure out that with record numbers of Americans on the welfare and disability dole, record numbers not working or even looking for work, and the red carpet rolled out for illegals, the game is over. The corporate Demopublican triad is going to squeeze the last drop of blood out of every productive person who remains.

“But wait!” you say. “The Republicans are going to win the midterm elections in a landslide! They will fix it!”

“Hey Buddy, wouldn’t you like to own that nice, shiny bridge over there?”

The Republicans stand for smaller government and bigger liberty, right? Sure they do! Just ask them. They’ll tell you.

But ask them this: What government program have you ever ended? What program did you vote to completely defund, sent its employees out to look for work elsewhere, and then you went home to your state for town hall meetings with your constituents? Republicans at their very best have only ever slowed the growth of Leviathan. They intend to live with the massive increase of government brought about under eight years of the black community organizer and hobby golfer. Why, ending his programs would be … racist!

Everything in the physical world has limits. You have limits. I have limits. Only God is without limits.

And therein lies the problem. Government is filled with godless people who somehow think that job is open. They are climbing over each other to fill that position.

And you know what? It’s going to happen. God is going to let them fill that position for a brief time. The time will be brief, because in Jesus’ words:

“This is going to be trouble on a scale beyond what the world has ever seen, or will see again. If these days of trouble were left to run their course, nobody would make it. But on account of God’s chosen people, the trouble will be cut short.” (Matthew 24:22, The Message)

That’s how successful the godless are going to be at usurping God’s position. Left alone, they would annihilate humanity to save it.

But they will not be left alone. The One without limits will himself end it.
