There is no denying that our government and elected officials are not looking out for the American people and the safety of our nation. There is also no denying that we the people know it. Every day we can see the threats against our nation creeping closer and closer, and yet both political parties are more interested in political gain than in solving problems.
Under the, dare I say, "leadership" of Barack Obama our country is falling to its knees with unsustainable debt, a stagnant economy overburdened by regulations, high unemployment, scandal and corruption. As for foreign policy, Obama has succeeded in bringing America's power down in the world, and because of that strategy, evil and chaos is the order of the day. Because of his pathetic actions in Iraq, we have seen all of the gains made by our brave men and women in uniform vanish in the desert sand just like a mirage.
Instead of realizing the damage that has been done to our country over the past six years and trying to turn the ship around, what are our politicians concentrating on? Not the open border with massive numbers of illegals, terrorists and unknown diseases coming across, not the blatant threats from ISIS promising that they are coming here to raise their flag and cut off our heads, not even the fact that our debt is so high our grandchildren's grandchildren will be paying it off. That is, if we still have a country. No, our politicians are too afraid to even touch on these subjects because their main concern is getting re-elected – so they spend their time fundraising and talking about ridiculous niche issues that don't matter a hill of beans!

Both parties are equally guilty. The Democrats are scared to death that they will lose their power in the Senate and then ultimately lose the White House in 2016, so they are distancing themselves from Obama and concentrating on a non-existent "war on women" and handing out more entitlements. The Republicans won't speak up and take a position on anything for fear of losing ground in an election they hope to win.

None of them are doing ANYTHING! There is no plan, no strategy (Obama admitted that), no leadership anywhere. We are like a party boat adrift at sea with no one at the helm, sailing straight into a typhoon.
What does America stand for? The world is asking. Don't look to John Kerry for an answer; he looks like a buffoon. Ask our military leaders, and they will give a completely different answer than the administration. Ask the American people; even we don't know anymore. Are we a Judeo-Christian nation? Do we live by the Constitution and uphold the laws of the land? Can other countries depend on us when the need arises? Are we even free anymore?

Everywhere we look there is disarray. Homeland Security is falling apart; our military has been cut to levels not seen since World War II; ISIS and Putin see us as weak and impotent – yet even in the midst of beheadings and mass genocide, our president and politicians spend their time worrying about fundraising, global warming, political correctness and amnesty for illegals!
As for me, I am sick of this. We need to speak up now and demand answers. Force them to lay out a plan for the next two years. Get rid of the wimps and cowards in Congress who won't take a firm stand on anything, and replace them with people who will. It's time for another Ronald Reagan – and I know he or she is out there somewhere. It is certainly not Hillary – but who?
No one has our backs. They don't seem to want to protect and save America. One thing is for sure, if we don't change things soon, we will be left behind like our four brave Americans in Benghazi.
