The Russian Federation is not a democracy! It is a dictatorship run by Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin controls the press and media. He understands how to use propaganda and has skillful liars working for him. Vladimir Putin is not interested in anything right now but regaining lost territories of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or USSR.
Vladimir Putin is not interested in friendly relations with the other countries in the world. No treaty or agreement will be lived up to by the Russian Federation – which makes me very skeptical of any ceasefire between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. A ceasefire is only a breather to get better organized for the next attack. It's the same thing Hamas does in the Gaza Strip; they always are ready for a ceasefire when they are out of missiles.
Recently a security official of Estonia was kidnapped on Estonian territory by Russian agents. Criminal acts are nothing new to the Russian FSB (successor to the Russian KGB). Russia will kill anyone it deems as a threat in the Russian Federation or in other countries. Vladimir Putin has personally ordered people to be killed for just ruffling his feathers. This is as simple as asking him a question he doesn't want to be asked.

The Russian Federation, besides desiring to put the USSR back together, wants to achieve world domination. Ask a Russian man in the street randomly, and he will tell you Russia can win a war against the rest of the world. Russia has announced that it is working with China to narrow the military advantage that the United States of America has currently. Yes, technologically speaking, we are ahead of the rest of the world.
Vladimir Putin likes to negotiate only when it's advantageous to him militarily. I would compare him to a caged rogue bear not to be trusted, ever.
Lech Walesa recently warned in a statement, "European military assistance to Ukraine could lead to a nuclear conflict between Russia and NATO, according to Poland's iconic cold warrior."
I believe that Vladimir Putin cannot afford to lose in Ukraine and that his physical well-being depends on it. Right now, the Russian Federation's economy is failing. Foreign investment is drying up quickly, and the ruble is at an all-time low.
The Russian Federation's inner circle may get rid of Vladimir Putin; he is a man alone! Vladimir Putin is a man with his finger on the button. He remains a threat to the entire world.
