Remember back in '08 when Barack Obama stood before throngs of adoring fans and followers hanging on his every word? Why, there were even women who fainted at the sight of him they were so overwhelmed. Well, the bloom is off the rose, as they say, and now the once-energetic, passionate young man that stood before them promising so much hope and change has morphed into a tired, graying, lackluster personality who looks and acts bored with his job, except for those moments when we catch him on the golf course.
It seems like his base – single women, Latinos and the youth of America – are finally taking their eyes off of the "Great and powerful Oz" and seeing the man behind the curtain. After six long years, they are finally waking up to the fact that Obama's entire presidency has just been smoke and mirrors, a sleight of hand that has left us deeply in debt, divided as a country, more dependent on entitlements and vulnerable to terrorists from a broken border and the perception that the United States is nothing more than a paper tiger. With the mounting tensions cropping up all over the world, our allies and our enemies are increasingly seeing us as all talk-no action.
Recent polls from the Washington Post show that Obama has seen an abrupt shift in loyalty from his most ardent supporters. Women disapprove of him by a 50 to 44 percent margin. In 2012, 55 percent of women approved of Obama, according to exit polls, thus showing a complete reversal in a two-year period. Young American voters under 30 approved of him by a margin of 60 to 37 percent in 2012, but with the increasing burdens from student loans and no jobs, they have become disillusioned and are either looking for an alternative or becoming disengaged politically.

Another group that has tired of the sluggish economy and the unending promises to fix immigration issues are the Latino voters. They overwhelmingly approved of Obama up until 2013 when his ratings were at 75 percent. Today they stand at 57 percent. African-Americans seem to be the lone group that continues to be loyal; their support has only eroded by a few points.

The unending false promises and out and out falsehoods coming from this administration have forced these voters to swallow the bitter pill and face the fact that they were conned. The fact is we are not better off than we were six years ago; we are not safer from threats of terrorism; we are not a unified country; and a majority of Americans feel that their children will not have a better life or a more prosperous future than they had.
The tipping point came when the radical ISIS beheaded two American journalists as well as a British aid worker and then broadcast it on the Internet for all to see. Suddenly, the reality of terror on our own soil was once again a distinct possibility. After the Boston bombings, women became more aware of the threat to their families, and they started to pay attention. When they saw nothing but empty rhetoric coming from the Obama administration and the apologetic excuses for terrorist acts that were not even called acts of terror, women started to realize Obama was no Captain America.

With women, Latinos and the youth abandoning him, Obama's ship is sinking fast. The midterms will more than likely be tepid at best for the Democrats because there is no reason for them to vote. There is no passion, energy or fight coming from the president, so why should they bother? He appears to be counting the days until he can spend 24/7 on the golf course with his buddies and not have to worry about annoyances like Russia, Israel, North Korea, China and the Middle East. Let someone else deal with all of these issues. He probably hopes the Senate will go to the GOP because at that point, he can coast along for the last two years and he will only have to use his veto pen.
