Are troops on the ground necessary?

The Pentagon is starting the drumbeat for "boots on the ground," but is that really necessary?

Surely our intelligence can detect tank movement from drones and other sources. When the ISIS attack on Kobani was started, forces started moving from 100 miles off. Those forces could have been destroyed in the open without endangering civilians.

Only a handful of airstrikes are made each day when hundreds, if not thousands, are needed.

Allies are not going to commit their ground forces when faced with a Bay of Pigs scenario. Clearly Obama's ISIS strategy will yield results similar to the Healthcare.gov rollout: Chaos.
