(KOKH-TV) The man suspected of beheading a co-worker last week in Moore wants a Muslim court-appointed attorney.
Alton Nolen, 30, was arraigned on charges of first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon Wednesday afternoon.
During a video arraignment, a judge ordered Nolen held without bond. Nolen asked the judge for a Muslim court-appointed attorney.
Nolen, a convert to Islam, was released from the hospital and taken to the Cleveland County jail early Wednesday. Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn says he's spoken to the victims' families and could file paperwork this week to seek the death penalty against Nolen.
