In his farewell speech of 1960, President Dwight Eisenhower warned Americans to beware of the "military-industrial" complex and its power to corrupt politics.
That was over 50 years ago.
Today, we have to worry about the liberal-cronyist complex corrupting politics.

The liberal-cronyist complex is doing its best to save this election for the left. Unfortunately for the left, real Americans are pretty fed up with the Democrats and Obama.
Tom Kierman is the CEO of the American Wind Energy Association. The AWEA is a part of the liberal-cronyist complex. In an interview in the Huffington Post, he said, "For my entire career I've sought to strengthen the ties between conservation and the American business community."

Translation: He has been working to create cronyism between big business and government so that big business is bought off by the left.
The left is pulling out the stops to try and save the liberal politicians who will allow the liberal-cronyist complex to survive.

In Colorado, they are desperately trying to save Mark Udall. In Iowa, they are desperately trying to stop Joni Ernst and put liberal hack Bruce Braley in the Senate.
Kierman is at the center of the liberal-cronyist complex. The American Wind Energy Association exists to help cronyism in the so-called "green energy" sector. He is also the treasurer for another liberal-cronyism group, the League of Conservation Voters. The LCV, along with the Sierra Club, another member of the complex, is helping far left-wing billionaire Tom Steyer spend money to try and buy the 2014 election.
The LCV loves to attack the Koch Brothers for what the liberal-cronyist complex is actually doing. The LCV demonizes the Koch Brothers for exercising their First Amendment rights even as the LCV spends millions to buy an election.
The United States government should not be the private piggy bank for the well-connected cronies.
Yet this is exactly what the liberal-cronyist complex wants the government to do. Does anyone remember Solyndra? There's a mere $500 million down the drain. The only requirement Solyndra had for getting money was that it was a part of the liberal-cronyist complex and its leadership backed President Obama.

In Colorado and North Carolina, the complex is supporting Mark Udall and Kay Hagen, non-stop shills for the liberal-cronyist complex. There has not been a single instance of crony spending that has come through the Senate that they have not liked.
If the United States Senate were like NASCAR and senators were required to place sponsor patches on their uniforms, Udall and Hagen would need 25-foot capes to advertise all the cronies they sponsor. Hagen's husband even got a few million for himself from the stimulus bill for renewable energy production – not bad work if you can get it. I am sure it helps to have a U.S. senator in the family when you're applying.
One of the major issues that rallied the tea party in 2009 was the cronyist spending of the Obama Regime.
Cronyism is a threat to liberty and freedom. The liberal-cronyist complex chooses winners and losers instead of allowing the market to do so.

Ultimately, the liberal-cronyist complex not only wants to pick the winners and losers in the market, but it also wants to control the ideas people are allowed to present. The First Amendment creates a marketplace of ideas where the best ideas can prevail.
The liberal-cronyist complex does not believe in the free expression of ideas nor do they believe in the free market. Their ideal is best summed up in the words of one of their heroes, Josef Stalin: "Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas."
This is the ultimate evil of the liberal-cronyist complex. This is why real Americans must stand up to groups such as the AWEA and the LCV and the politicians supporting whatever policy their liberal-cronyist complex bosses want them they to push. For liberty, conservatives must do everything possible to support the Republican targets of these attacks.
