In China, I noticed no 4th floors in most multi-story buildings, just as American high rises often omit a 13th floor as unlucky. In Hong Kong, floor numbers will skip from "3" to "5," from "13" to "15," from "23" to "25" and so on. It was explained that the number "4" is considered extremely unlucky, and numbers ending in "4" are generally shunned. License plate numbers in China rarely end in "4." Cell phone numbers ending in "4" are avoided. The reason is the Chinese characters for "4" and "death," as pronounced, sound very similar.
Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th U.S. president and, without a doubt, doubly deadly to America and the world. Is this only a coincidence or spot on?
