(SCRANTON TIMES-TRIBUNE) When a 10-year-old Wayne County boy lost his temper with a 90-year-old woman Saturday, state police said the boy grabbed a cane and hooked it around her neck and then held her down and beat her.
Now state police have charged the boy, Tristen Kurilla, with criminal homicide in the death of Helen Novak. He was charged as an adult.
“I killed that lady,” Tristen, of 232 Swendsen Road, Damascus Twp., told a trooper Saturday during an interview at the state police barracks in Honesdale.
