(USA TODAY) A Republican state representative wrote in a blog post last week that Democratic Rep. Ann Kuster will lose her re-election bid for Congress because she is “ugly as sin.”
Steve Vaillancourt, who is in his sixth term in the New Hampshire state House, posited on his NH Insider blog that Kuster would be defeated by Republican Marilinda Garcia because the challenger “truly attractive.” He also unfavorably compared Kuster to men who dress up as drag queens.
Vaillancourt’s blog post was first discovered by Miscellany: Blue, a blog that offers a “progressive perspective” on New Hampshire politics. that called the Republican’s lengthy post a “misogynist rant.”
