Pope Francis recently made an appearance in Rome, where in a speech he said in part:
"God is not afraid of new things. That is why he is continuously surprising us, opening our hearts and guiding us in unexpected ways."
While this is a great modern sentiment, and I don't presume to tell the pope his business nor suggest everyone else view the world as I do, there is another much older sentiment I offer for consideration in Malachi 3:6:

This verse is pretty short and to the point. I guess we all individually need to reconcile our beliefs and understandings, but personally I'm more inclined to side with the original source.
