To me, something is very wrong with all the events and actions as they are playing out with the Ebola exposures in the U.S.
Is it possible all these decisions and actions by our officials about Ebola, which on the surface look so stupid and dangerous, really aren’t? What if our government is using this Ebola outbreak, which has an almost certain probability of being contained, as a stress test of our medical response during a much bigger coming crisis?
It is no secret we have enemies who mean us great harm. It is also no secret that there are enemies of ours who have or will have nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. With events in the Middle East unfolding quickly, there is a very good likelihood both Syria and Iraq will be overrun by ISIS to some extent. In doing so, ISIS will all of a sudden have available to them weapons of mass destruction stored in those countries.
It may be better to test our vulnerabilities and facilities now at a level of controlled risk during peace time in the most advance medical system in the world, and fix problems as we find them with some possible loss of life. Or do we risk a catastrophic loss of life in some future emergency/attack if our facilities are not found capable at that time and lose hundreds of thousands of lives during that discovery?
Can our officials really be that smart? Or are they as really stupid as their actions make them appear to be?
