Michael Savage
Dr. Savage is hitting back after CNN falsely accused him of spreading “conspiracy theories” about Ebola.
His voice dripping with sarcasm, CNN host Jake Tapper misrepresented Savage’s commonsense concerns about Obama’s plans to send U.S. troops into Ebola-ravaged African countries.
Reacting to Tapper’s segment, Savage told WND, “Since health workers in full biohazard gear have contracted Ebola, why wouldn’t we expect one of the 5,000 U.S. soldiers sent into the epicenter of one of the world’s most virulent epidemics to contract the virus?”
Savage also spoke to Breitbart.com about his new book “Stop the Coming Civil War.”
He told them the president has “declared a civil war on every institution in the country, and we have to fight back. Not with guns, not with bombs. I’m talking about a revolution at the ballot box to begin with. That’s my hope. We have 25 days left to cause this revolution at the ballot box, and then the fun begins. That’s when the job begins.”
Rush Limbaugh
Frequent “undocumented” Limbaugh guest host Mark Steyn also has a new book out, called “The Undocumented Mark Steyn.” Rush interviewed him for the next issue of “The Limbaugh Letter.”
On the air, Limbaugh told his audience that he was intrigued by one of Steyn’s statements in particular: “Steyn said, ‘You cannot have a conservative government with a liberal culture.’ … Now, I know the bureaucracy is populated with career leftists. But we’re speaking theoretically here. The point he was trying to make was it doesn’t matter. If we don’t change the culture, we’re never really going to change anything. We can have all the conservative presidents we want, and if that doesn’t mean or translate to or result from a change in the culture, the culture remains dominantly liberal.”
On a hopeful note, Limbaugh asked if America is “on the cusp of a Great Awakening.”
That was Limbaugh’s question after he received an email from a friend and “well-known writer” who felt that “all of these things happening here are going to open the American people’s eyes to just how devastatingly damaging, destructive and corrupt liberalism is” (Free audio).
Aaron Klein
Is Obama using the Ebola crisis to “build up a U.S. military presence in Africa in the face of growing Chinese investment and influence on the continent”? Investigative broadcaster Aaron Klein presented his case this week.
Klein says that’s the real reason the president is sending 3,000 armed forces personnel to the continent.
Turning his attention to the Middle East, Klein talked about Hezbollah’s threat to Israel’s borders and ISIS’ targeting of Jordan. Author Jason Mattera joined Klein to talk about being assaulted by Harry Reid’s bodyguard, merely for asking a question about Reid’s personal finances (Free audio).
Mark Levin
Calling her “Arlen Specter in a dress,” Mark Levin criticized Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine for assuring voters that Obamacare would not be repealed.
“We’re past the point, you know, because it was passed three and a half years ago, and that’s a lifetime for liberal Republicans,” Levin said. “The Republican Party is a liberal party; the Democratic Party is a radical party.”
Adding that he understood why so many people say, “Let’s just elect the Republicans,” Levin added, “I understand that the Democrats are more radical, more detestable, more diabolical, but ladies and gentlemen, we need a party, we need people who will stand with us” (Free audio).
Levin also called out Fox News anchor Shepard Smith, after Smith snidely accused the media of sensationalizing Ebola.
“We take an incredible amount of crap from this government,” Levin shot back. “An incredible amount of crap from these politicians, and now crap from phony hosts who sit there and lecture us. Are we not allowed to observe this, comment on it, talk about it?
“We don’t need lectures from the media about how we’re supposed to behave. Who the hell do they think they are?” Levin asked.
Laura Ingraham
Ingraham accused House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, of mishandling the Ebola crisis. She wondered why he didn’t call the House back into session to pass a travel ban from West African nations.
“Republicans have to do this,” she insisted. “Democrats might kick and scream, but I think in the end they’ll support this because 67 percent of the public want this done. Obama refuses to do this as an executive matter. He has a phone and a pen. He has a phone and a pen, and he’ll do all sorts of stuff with that phone and a pen to help Democrats. Will he do anything with a phone and a pen to help save lives of Americans?” (Free audio).
Later in the week, Ingraham pinpointed what she believed was the real reason the administration was being slow to act.
“We have American people who are infected because [the White House] is affected by political correctness,” she said. “We’re infected by a political system that refuses to do what the people want and instead is focused on the global economy effects, or focused on the feelings of other people in other countries, or focused on what the elites in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Boston, Boulder or Madison will think.”
“The American people demand action,” she continued. “How many Americans are going to have to die until we start doing our jobs here?” (Free audio).
Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck has been accused of many things over the course of his colorful career, but this week, he felt obligated to respond to a “chicken lady who said he mocked a disabled hen.”
The “chicken lady” is an animal rights activist whom Beck had made fun of the previous week. While insisting that he supports the humane treatment of animals, Beck felt the “chicken lady” had gone too far, both in her radical views and in her subsequent attack on him in a popular (and “creatively edited”) video.
“It’s interesting how you have no desire to have an actual dialogue with somebody,” Beck said. “You edited out the part where I say I am clearly against animal cruelty.
“Too many people, unfortunately, are only concerned with winning,” Beck added. “Read Martin Luther King. It’s all about reconciliation, not about winning. And I would hope that some day you’ll join me and millions of other people who are tired of this fight and this bashing and the lies, and talk about reconciliation and not winning. Together we can actually stand against animal cruelty” (Free audio).
