(WFLA-TV) Two Winter Haven nursing assistants were charged with battery of an elderly person after police say they were captured on video tormenting and hitting a 76-year-old Alzheimer's patient.
On Wednesday, Winter Haven Police arrested Yashika Zenobiaha Jones, 28, and Rose Dorlean Blaise, 35, who work at Palm Gardens Nursing Home located at 1120 Cypress Gardens Blvd. S.E. in Winter Haven.
Police say an investigation uncovered the abuse on three separate occasions in October.

"This egregious behavior from these two who are supposed to be caring for our infirm is absolutely sickening," said Winter Haven Police Chief Charlie Bird.
