(POLITICO) Make no mistake: Democrats running from President Barack Obama aren’t actually all that distant from him.
That’s the message that Obama himself delivered Monday, speaking on Rev. Al Sharpton’s radio show — a line that Republicans immediately identified as the latest gaffe they’d try to drum controversy out of, right up there with Obama’s line two weeks ago that his policies are on the ballot in November.
“The bottom line is, though, these are all folks who vote with me,” Obama said. “They have supported my agenda in Congress.”
