Singer sorry for botching anthem at World Series

(USA TODAY) Aaron Lewis wants you to know that he’s very sorry for flubbing a line of The Star-Spangled Banner.

Performing before Game 5 of the World Series in San Francisco Sunday, the lead singer of Staind bungled the second line of the national anthem, singing, “What so proudly we hailed were so gallantly streaming.”

As a result, Lewis took to Facebook Sunday night to issue an apology and ask for forgiveness:
