(TURLOCKJOURNAL) — A man who has spent 10 months on the run for allegations he sexually assaulted a Turlock teenager was apprehended trying to cross into the United States from Mexico.
Eladio Ramirez Tizoc, 23, of Modesto was apprehended by border patrol agents in San Diego and turned over to Turlock Police officers on Monday.
Tizoc is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl that he met through Instagram. He is facing charges of on two counts of sodomy, two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, penetration with a foreign object, and lewd and unlawful sexual intercourse. Tizoc met the victim by following her through the social media site and eventually commenting on her photos. Tizoc met with the girl on four separate occasions.
